My IFD540 is intermittently acting like someone is touching the screen. It will display the frequency input number pad sometimes as if someone finger pressed th radio freq area. It will map pan as if someone has pressed the map page....I tried cleaning the screen but it did not help.

Somewhere I have a computer manual in which the manufacturer of a
mainframe suggests cleaning it with Spic and Span, but I don't recommend
it for your IFD 540.
Perhaps there is some way it could be an installation issue but I think Orest is right, that the unit is defective. |

Thanks guys. I sent it back today to Avidyne to fix this and a GPS loss issue
