I have two ipads:
A 9.7" iPad Pro model MLA42LL/A An iPad Air model ME906LL/A I installed the IFD100 app on both without incident, activated the Jeppesen subscription and downloaded databases: Nav, chart, terrain, and Avidyne world map. The IFD540 was upgraded to 10.2 without incident. I set up the iPad Pro to be IFD100 #1, and the iPad Air to be IFD100 #2. Bug 1) Either iPad will run IFD100 with the IFD540. When both iPads are connected as IFD100s, there is rapid blinking of the IFD100 displays (both tablets) and general instability in displays and button response. Bug 2) The IFD100 does not respond to the Apple iPad Pro keyboard. This is the only app I know of that does not recognize Apple's keyboard. Bug 3) I can create a new checklist on either iPad, but can't see checklists already in IFD540 memory in either IFD100s, nor can I push checklists created on iPad to IFD540. Tried saving then restoring IFD540 checklists to USB fob, no joy. A strange thing, probably unrelated, that I will pursue with Jeppesen first. As part of the upgrade to 10.2 I downloaded the latest Jepp chart, nav, and obstacle data. I have US East/Central coverage in my subscription. The IFD540 no longer has any Texas charts at all; it doesn't recognize any airport identifier beginning with "T." I tried a few airports in OK, NE, and AR - no charts for any of them. All of the east coast airports I tried had their charts, as did WI and MI. It seems as if the southern central part of the database did not update correctly. |

Bug 4) selecting the "route" tab on the FMS page crashes IFD100 on the iPad Pro every time.
The IFD100 on the iPad Air does not exhibit this behavior. |

Interesting. I have an iPad Air and selecting FMS ROUTE crashes the IFD100.

Yes, we have received multiple reports of this. We are working on an update to the app to address it and hope to have it available shortly.

Are you also going to make the intersections viewable on the IFD 100 without having a flight plan that puts them in? thanks

I'm not sure anyone wants an on/off switch that enables all intersections to be shown. There are areas where you wouldn't be able to see the screen for all the clutter. Anyone got got any ideas on how to manage that?
One subset does make sense though. I want to be able to turn on or off just the USER created waypoints - whether or not they are included in the current active flight plan. Seems to me these discussions about specific future features belong in their own thread, not in a thread on bugs?? |

This weekend I tried the IFD100 app again. The default for the app was IFD550, I set it to IFD540. Selecting the FMS/route tab now crashes both the iPad Pro and the iPad Air every time. Changing the IFD100 unit numbers had no effect on the crashing or the unstable display when both iPads are running the app. |
