Is the TAS 600 output compatible with Dynon's Skyview system? I'm trying to find a traffic advisory system other than TIS that will work with that display (which natively reads output from the GTX 330).
Thanks

Unfortunately the TAS600 is not currently compatible with the Dynon Skyview system.  Looking at the Skyview manual, it appears it only supports the TIS format as you state.  The Avidyne traffic systems can interface with other displays via a proprietary RS-232 protocol,  which we make available to other avionics vendors, and via an industry standard ARINC 429 traffic protocol (known as ARINC 735).  Dynon would need to modify the Skyview system to support one of these two protocols.

Hi.
First time here with lots of new stuff in our airplanes.

We have a fleet of airplanes with Garmin 430, Aspen EFD 1000, and Avidyne TAS600. I'm wondering if the Garmin requires an altimeter setting for the traffic to display correctly (relative altitude).

Thanks,
Ken

No.  Traffic information is provided by the TAS600 to the Garmin 430 using relative altitude.  Traffic intruders are displayed using relative altitude on the Garmin 430 and Aspen EFD.

The altimeter setting on the Traffic page of the Garmin 430 is use to enable Approach mode of the TAS620 at the correct MSL altitude.
