I have continued to enjoy the superb performance of my DC 100.
I am concerned at the continued failure to remedy the known safety problem concerning aural alerts or caution warnings associated with "underspeed" on landing roll out. While the issue is insignificant at non-towered fields, the larger and busier the airport, the more likely a pilot will miss taxi instructions from the tower or ground control, increasing the potential for collision in this transition. This warning also concerns passengers who fear a crash. While I explain the tiny lady who made the announcement lives in a windowless box in the dashboard and doesn't know we have landed, their consternation and discomfort also may cause excited utterances that may interfere with pilot concentration during roll out. By what date will this problem be remedied?

Understood Harvey. The issue has been addressed in the next release of the autopilot software. We've added some suppression logic that looks at ground speed and power settings of the airplane.
We've been working through the certification pipeline for this. We are currently addressing some paperwork changes that the FAA representatives have required. It's been an iterative process and we're not sure when it will be completed. Could be a week, could be a month but I think that bounds the best case and worst case dates. If I learn something that alters these date estimates, I will immediately post it here. S. Jacobson

I guess Jake forgot to post here, but R9.2.4 and DFC100 R2 which address this underspeed on rollout issue have been certified and are available now.

Thanks! Problem solved in this last release. The aural flap warning also is a great addition. This is a great system!
