For all those who have asked for more in depth training on the IFD series of navigators, we have teamed up with Master CFI Gary Reeves of PilotSafety.org to provide webinars, in person seminars and a video series. The first of many webinars are scheduled (see below).

Be sure you get that set up, archiving that is, to allow for non-live review. Not many folks can make single date/time webinars.

Agreed, that's why we will have multiple dates and times. The Master CFI will also have a DVD available.

Great!  Will he be demonstrating 10.2? Also, I agree with Orest. They should be captured and published on YouTube for all to see at their convenience.

I'd also recommend collecting some questions in advance to supplement the questions asked live.

I communicated with Gary Reeves about the 5+ hour IFD training videos. For those curious, he will be demonstrating 10.1. However, within a few weeks of 10.2 release, he will email a link to those who purchased the training videos to a new video demonstrating the new features of 10.2.

I recently attended an Avidyne Live IFD Seminar put on by Gary Reeves. It was well worth attending. There was a lot of verbal interaction, hands-on training and I discovered many things about my IFD that I didn't realize it would do, and I've been flying behind the IFD since December 2014.

There are probably CFIs out there that really knew the Avidynes, but no one I've seen knows the IFDs and Foreflight better than Gary Reeves.

We have a sizable investment in the Avidyne upgrades on our panels. Whether you attend a Gary Reeves seminar (www.AvidyneTraining.com) or buy his videos I feel you'll find it money well spent!

Talked with Gary Reeves at Oshkosh, he fixed a problem/question I had going in on a vector to final at Port Columbus (CMH)  and pointed out how easy it is to switch to Vectors after I made an oops, RNAV/GPS entry.  (Showed me two ways to fix it) I bought his DVD - it's excellent
