AXP322 settings

   Our AXP322 list all its settings after a software update with the IFD.   We got everything figured out except for the UAT receiver setting.  Should that be set as yes or no.  We use a stratux box for ADS-B in.  Nothing that is certified.

	I have an AXP340 and wonder about this too. I have an MLB100 paired to it, so a certified UAT ADS-B In solution. I am mostly interested in what to report in an ICAO flight plan. The options seem to be UAT Out or UAT Out + In, or 1090 Out and 1090 Out + In. Would the last one be correct, even thought the In part is UAT/978 MHz? As far as the transponder reporting, I believe if you don’t have a certified In device, the transponder should only report it has 1090 ADS-B Out. Edited by HenryM - 22 Aug 2019 at 10:24pm

	For filing the IN part is completely immaterial. If you have a 1090 transponder as your ADS-B OUT device, you would use that in the filing type string. That has NOTHING to do with the UAT/1090 setting in the transponder. The ground stations want to know how to send you FIS-B & TIS-B. If you have a dual IN device (portable or otherwise), you can put BOTH. In that case, the ground stations will send either 1090 or 978, depending on what is operationally more efficient given the other traffic. If you have only a 978 IN, (portable or panel), you would set the transponder setting to 978, similar for 1090 IN. * Orest Edited by oskrypuch - 22 Aug 2019 at 10:47pm

	The ICAO options are: B1 ADS-B, Dedicated 1090 Out B2 ADS-B, Dedicated 1090 Out + In U1 ADS-B, UAT Out U2 ADS-B, UAT Out + In There is no option for 1090 Out, UAT In, or a dual-band receiver. I’m not sure this matters much operationally. It is what the transponder sends out that matters.

	i have a stratus that receives dual band so said yes for each option.
