I have 2 ipads connected to my IFD540, and mostly they work well.
IFD540 software 10.2.1
IFD software 10.2.1
Ipad mini 2 V 11.3.1

I can't seem to update IFD100 software to version 10.2.5 shown in Appstore.
After I delete the app and try to reload from Appstore, the oply option I am presented with is to download from icloud, so presumably it is the same version I already have. Still shows as v 10.2.1.

On IFD100 map setup page:
-cannot make changes in Map General box (stuck on factory default)
-cannot make changes in Map Detail box

In User Options page:
-cannot enable FLTA
-cannot enable terrain awareness
-cannot access local time offset
-UTC time is wrong.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Regards
Jedff

Everything you listed seems normal.

Version 10.2.5 is an Apple version identifier for the IFD100.  You can see that if you go to the App Store on the iPad and look at which version you have loaded.  10.2.1.0 is the IFD software version.  You see that if you go into the app and look at the SYS page.

At this point, the Map Setup page is not touch enabled.  Therefore, you cannot change those settings on the IFD100.  That will be fixed in the next release.

FLTA should work, but only if you have that option on your IFD.

Apple doesn't allow us to change the time on the iPad.  Therefore, the time options are disabled.

I reported the same issues with FLTA and terrain awareness regarding the IFD100 on this forum months ago. Both the of those features work when the IFD10 is WiFi connected to an IFD540 Trainer; however, get locked OFF when connected to my actual FLYA and Terrain Awareness enabled IFD540.

The lockout appears to occur during the initial configuration modification the IFD00 goes through when first connected to a new IFD (or trainer).

As I recall, this issue first appeared when I upgraded to both the 10.2.0 and subsequent 10.2.1 versions of both my IFD540 and IFD100 software. FLTA and Terrain Awareness had been working well on my IFD100 prior to those software releases.

The IFD540 shows all the proper terrain warnings if I fly towards terrain.
Same does not show up on the ipads.

Exactly!

I see the same thing on my IFD100. If I go to any of the user profiles on my IFD100, the FLTA and Terrain Awareness (TA) options are grayed out and locked Off. Before the IFD100 connected to my IFD540 for the first time (prior to "Config Modified"), those options were colored light green or white depending on whether they were actively selected to change and their respective values were user selectable On or Off.

My IFD540 shows FLTA and Terrain Awareness normally and has since I had it installed.
