G3x with 540?

   I bought a plane (C-182) six months ago with a Garmin 530, G3x, and GFC 500.  I swapped out the 530 for an Avidyne 540, and have had serious issues with the G3x: Obstacles appear and disappear on the screen, when I'm at altitude, and the screen flickers frequently, to white and back to normal.  

Does anyone else have this combination?   Does it work ok?
