Hi - I have replaced my GNS430 with an IFD440 and loving it.  Just struggling with the paperwork as my Bell 206 is not on the Avidyne AML.  Can anyone with an IFD440 in a Bell 206 share their paperwork story?  Thanks!

OR in a R-44  I'd Like to replace the G530w
I was told by avidyne that possibly they would be an H model for Heli's  during this summer

Not sure what an "H" model would give you besides vibration damping perhaps.  I have been running the IFD440 in my Jet Ranger now for some months without any issues.  Just keen to hear from anyone who has been through the paperwork exercise with their local Aviation Authority.

I installed a GTN750 in my MD500e at a time when there was no STC or AML for it. It took a lot of coordination with the local FSDO and my shop to get it field approved. Of course, this was before the 540s were available.

Might chat with your shop about a field approval for the install.

Currently, we have a few helicopters that are flying with the IFDs. These were installed under field approvals since we do not have an AML STC with helicopters on it. I believe the aircraft was an R44 and R66.
