I was flying over the weekend and was using the IFD 100 for the first time just to try it out. I usually use FF. As I was playing with it I was talking to ATC and getting traffic alerts. Since traffic doesn't show up on the IFD 100 I switched back to FF and would likely not fly with the IFD 100 due to lack of ADSB traffic and weather I get with FF and the Stratus box. Is there any plan to make this information visible on the IFD 100? Its clearly available. I am using my stratus as the network hub and everything else works fine. Flightplan uploads and downloads from FF. ADSB traffic and weather on FF etc. Without this I don't see any case for using the IFD 100 over FF in flight.

I also rely on the Stratus traffic showing on Foreflight.  It is amazing how much useful information is available even when the traffic isn't readily visible out the windshield.  So, like you, I'm reluctant to use the IFD100 app when that means losing the traffic information on the iPad.  Granted, I also have the Skytrax so can see traffic on the IFD as well, but for whatever reason it just isn't as useful to me as having it front and center on the yoke-mounted iPad.

If the Skytrax traffic showed on the IFD100 app, I would be more inclined to use the IFD100 because I prefer following the IFD magenta-lined approach superimposed over the approach plate on the larger iPad screen right in front of me as opposed to having to divide attention between a geo-referenced approach plate on Foreflight and the actual approach guidance showing on the IFD screen.
