When my 540 is switched to vLOC, either on an approach or just to navigate with a VOR, I am unable to display the To/Fr Radials on the 540:

. 540 v10.1

. VOR data block ID filled in

. External CDI in place (MD406-222)

Also have dual Aspens, and suspect "Priority" issues with PFD ARINC429 and CDI RS232.

On Maintenance page 6/12, there is a Maintenance Mode setting for the OBI Source --> "Always GPS". What would happen if changed to "Track CDI" - any changes in function with OBS, vLOC, or ILS for example?

Any help appreciated.

Track CDI is the preferred setting. That *should* fix your issue.

Is that only relevant when you have an external analog CDI present?
